Ann Pendleton Wooten Sabetta

January 30, 1922 — December 5, 2001

Ann Pendleton Wooten Sabetta, 79, of Owensboro, died Wednesday, December 5, 2001, at her home. Her husband, Thomas J. Sabetta, Sr. preceeded her in death on May 8, 1972.

Mrs. Sabetta had been an independent oil producer and country club developer. She was secretary-treasurer of Cox Drilling Company and had been involved in the development of the Royal Oak Country Club in Titusville, Florida and the Bahama Reef Country Club in the Grand Bahamas. She later served as administrative assistant for the Messenger-Inquirer. She was a member of the board of directors of The Goodfellows Club, the Daughters of the American Revoloution, and a former member of the Cotillion Club.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas J. and Anne Sabetta, Jr. of Louisville, and her grandddaughter, Elizabeth Sabetta.

The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Church in Owensboro. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford. Friends may call at Glenn Funeral Home from 11 until 2 and 4 until 7 Friday and from 11 until 1:30 Saturday.
