Ann F. Payne

November 18, 1932 — March 1, 2005

Ann F. Payne, 72, of 2920 Yale Place, Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born in Washington, D.C. to the late Elmo & Mabel LaFlamme Foster. She was a member of Immaculate Catholic Church, Legion of Mary, and the Altar Society. She enjoyed working the crossword puzzle every morning in the newspaper, working on the computer, reading, and keeping in contact with family and friends by sending cards to them. She was preceded in death by infant tripletts, Michael, Michelle, and Mary Magdalene Payne, and a son, Jamie Thomas Payne in 1982.

Surviving are five sons and their wives, Herman Vincent "Butch" & Joy Payne, Jr. of Lexington, Ky., Cletus G. & Donna Payne of Bowling Green, Ky., Jeff & Cathy Payne of Owensboro, Phillip Payne of Knottsville, and Perry R. & Lisa Payne of Lexington, three daughters and their husbands, Terri & Dr. Paul McLaughlin of Lexington, Mary Jane & Fred Peace of Marietta, Ga., and Monica & Terry Alexander of Cottontown, Tn., two former daughter-in-laws, Barbara Payne of Vermont and Susan "Boo" Payne of Knottsville, 25 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, two brothers, Eddie Foster of Philpot and Tom Foster of Owensboro, and two sisters, Mary Louise "Weasie" Whitis of Somerset, Ky. and Martha "Tootie" Hamilton of Owensboro.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M.Thursday, March 3, at Immaculate Catholic Church with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday with prayers at 7:30 P.M. and after 9:00 A.M. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home.
