Ann Crutcher Gray, 90, of Philpot, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on February 28, 1929, in Daviess County to the late John and Cleo Ford Crutcher. Ann was a homemaker who enjoyed working in her flower garden, feeding her hummingbirds, spending time canning, and was a 40 plus year volunteer at the Owensboro Help Office. She was an active member of Masonville United Methodist Church where she was involved with the Active Adults Group. Ann was also very well known for her pecan pies and her homegrown corn, but most of all she loved to spend time being with her family and especially her 20 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Armel Gray Jr.; a daughter, Carolyn Gray McDaniel; a sister, Wanda Bailey; and three brothers, Bobby, John Jr., and Carlin Crutcher.
Ann is survived by her three sons, Michael Gray, David Gray (Regina), and Tim Gray (Debbie); two sisters, Nancy Stuart and Edna Watts (Fred); a brother, Darrell Crutcher (Julie); grandchildren, Leah Jones (Terry), Christa Gray Hanson (Kevin), Mikey Gray, Josh Gray, Kim Gray Tanner (Scott), Britney Gray Houston (Justin), Jeremy Gray, Bridget Gray, Brooklyn Gray Hagan (Dustin), Quinton Klessig, and Kellie Klessig Robey (Will); great-grandchildren, Hannah Gray, Taylor Jones, Julia Tanner, Van Hanson, Wyatt Tanner, Cora Hanson, Hadley Houston, Emmett Hagan, and Homer Houston; also her special lifelong friends, Carol, Kay and Margie.
The funeral service for Ann Crutcher Gray will be at Noon, Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will be Tuesday from 2 until 8 PM and Wednesday from 10 AM until time of service. Burial will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
