Ann Cambron Catron

July 23, 1933 — January 31, 2014

Ann Cambron Catron, 80, of Owensboro, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2014 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on July 23, 1933 in Daviess Co. to the late Moseley and Emma Lee Hinton Cambron. Ann had worked and retired from the former Willamette Co. and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Gary Dale Cambron.

Ann was a beautiful and strong woman of keen intellect. She not only proclaimed Christ as her Savior, but spent a lifetime serving Him. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and gospel music. Throughout her life, she played the piano and organ at church, and often sang solos. She was strong willed and articulate. It has been often said by her children that no idea, plan, or potential accomplishment mentioned to her was ever rejected but rather explored. She will be missed until we join her in heaven to praise our Heavenly Father who allowed us the favor of such a wonderful mother.

Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Thomas "Tinker" Catron, her daughter, Judi C. Taul and husband Stacy of Hardinsburg, two sons, Thomas David Catron of Gentryville, IN and Greg Catron and wife Dana of Louisville, six grandchildren, Courtney Taul of Hardinsburg, Thomas Dale Catron of Owensboro, Ashley Catron- Carnes and husband Josh of Hawesville, Colter Taul and wife Jerianne of Hardinsburg, and Jared and Blake Catron, both of Louisville, seven great grandchildren, and a brother, Max Cambron and wife Jo of Santa Claus, IN.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 3, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Dan Wigton officiating. Entombment will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 1:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday and after 8:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
