Anita L. Owsley, 87, of Owensboro passed away at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital on Thursday, April 26, 2018. She was born January 18, 1931 to the late James A. Jackson, Sr. and Fannie Barker Jackson.
She was a member of Fourth Street Baptist Church.
She retired from Kentucky Electronics and also the Owensboro Board of Education. She was also known for her homemade rolls. She loved to bargain shop and find good buys. She loved vacationing with the family.
She was preceded in death by her husband William R. Owsley Sr., her son William R. Owsley, Jr. and two daughters Beverly N. Slaughter and Gwendolyn L. Williams.
Anita leaves to cherish her memories, her sons Richard L. Greenfield (Lou), George W. Greenfield III, James W. Greenfield, and Myron B. Greenfield (Valerie) her daughters, Audrey C. Henderson (George), Joyce A. Floyd (Jon), and Willene R. Husk (Bob). Her granddaughter who cared for her, Carlynda La-Sha Owsley. Grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren. Her brother James A. Jackson, Jr., two sisters, Florence Tapp and Ina Jackson, and several extended family members.
Services will be private
