Amy Gae Lowe Kassinger

Amy Gae Lowe Kassinger, 83, of Taffy passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2007. Born April 6, 1924 in Daviess County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Lowe and Willie Lake Brooks; a homemaker; and member of the Sugar Grove Bible Baptist Church . Mrs. Kassinger was a very loving, giving person who enjoyed caring for others, especially her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Eastern Star and loved playing the spoons. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Andy Kassinger in 1997; sons-in-law, Darrell Coppage and Bobby Maden; brothers, Reathel Lowe and William Lowe; and a step-brother, Edgar Branscum.


Survivors include daughters, Dianne (and Donnie) Onstott of Pleasant Ridge, Sandra Coppage of Taffy, Paula (and Lewis) Greer of Whitesville, Debbie (and Danny) Phillips of Philpot, Sharon (and Richard) Cooper of Morgantown, Ava (and Joe) Pharris of Greenville, and Andi (and Bill) Saalwaechter of Philpot; 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; a sister, Bessie Clark of Owensboro; a half-sister, Edwina Lawrence of Louisville; step-brother, Donald (and Etta) Branscum of Utica; and a half-sister, Christina Bartlett of Habit.

Services are 2 P.M. Monday, December 17, 2007 at Glenn Funeral Home with Brother Eddie Calloway officiating followed by burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-8 P.M. on Sunday and after 10 A.M. on Monday.
