Alyce Barnard Morris, 78, of Owensboro passed away Thursday, September 28 at her home with her family by her side. Mrs. Morris was born May 10, 1939 in Owensboro to the late Bill and Gladys Smith Barnard. Alyce was a 1957 graduate of Owensboro High School. She was an avid reader and tennis enthusiast who loved to play and watch. Her adventurous spirit expressed itself in many ways including travel and white water rafting. Alyce was a member of the Red Hat Club and served in many ways at her church.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 59 years, Waymond Morris; four daughters, Kathryn Roberts, Kimberly Watson and husband James, Tamara Morris and spouse Kyna Carlton, Kelly Skeens and husband Glenn all of Owensboro; eight grandchildren, Heather Yeiser, Keeley Bowman, Alex King, Jaymee and Andrew Watson, Logan, Luke, and Will Skeens; three great grandchildren, Hadley Boaz, Emma Fitzgerald, and Madigan Hargis; one great-great grandchild, Reid Boaz; brother, Kenneth Barnard, wife Shirlene, and daughter, Leslie.
The service will be 1:00 PM Monday at Trinity Episcopal Church with Reverend Dr. Beth Macke officiating. Visitation will be 3:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and Monday from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at the church.
