Alyce Jane Myles Goetz

November 16, 1944 — January 13, 2011

Alyce Jane Myles Goetz, 66, of 1601 Mayo Avenue, Owensboro, Kentucky passed away January 13, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Alyce was a dedicated registered nurse for over 29 years retiring from Owensboro Mercy Health System. She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, an avid University of Kentucky fan, enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all of her grand-dogs. Alyce was preceded in death by her parents Herman Myles and Clara Young Myles Camp.

Survivors include her children, Gina Dickens, Sharon Riley, Stephanie Goetz Carpenter (Rodney) and Jonathan Goetz (Beth) all of Owensboro; grandchildren, Amy Bowlds, Kristen Kizer (Ryan), Jason Boarman (Amy), Cassie Duncan, Allison Riley (Clint Tinnell), Jaclyn Grey, Erica Riley, Heavyn Miller, Dylan Miller and Brittany Goetz; great-grandchildren, Lucas and Khloe Duncan, Parker Riley Tinnell, Tyson Cole Boarman and arriving soon, Maxwell Kizer; siblings, Joyce Settle, Gayle Moser and Glover Myles; great aunt, Janet Myles McCarty; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her furry companions, Angel, Little Bit, and Little Bitty.

Services will be held on Saturday at Noon in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday and after 10 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky or the Humane Society.
