Alvina Gretchen Rudovich

Alvina Gretchen Rudovich, 75, of Philpot, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2026 under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. She was born in Salzgitter, Lebenstedt, Germany to the late Esko and Wanda Pross Sage. When she was 5 years old, her family moved to Detroit, Michigan where she graduated from high school. After getting married in the fall of 1970 and living a few places in the Midwest, she and her husband settled in Philpot in the 1980’s.

Mrs. Rudovich worked as a bank teller for what is now Truist Bank. She was of the Presbyterian faith. Alvina had a heart for animals and enjoyed taking care of her dogs. She also spent time playing tennis, flower gardening, sewing and making crafts. She will be dearly missed by many.

Alvina was preceded in death by a brother, Alexander Sage and a daughter-in-law, Michelle Rudovich.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Edward Rudovich; children, Larra Williams of Pineville, KY and Nicholas Rudovich of Louisville, KY; and grandchildren, Alex, Christopher and Ivan Williams, and Zach and Grant Rudovich.

Care by Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. At Alvina’s request, arrangements are private.
