Alta Hulsey Moss

Alta Hulsey Moss, 94, of 1234 Booth Ave., Owensboro, died Sunday, September 22, 2002 at her home. She was born in Daviess County, Kentucky on March 11, 1908 the daughter of Elmer and Maude Galloway Hulsey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Moss, on March 18, 1998; and a son, Eugene Moss, on January 23, 1992.

Mrs. Moss was a homemaker, a member of Buena Vista Baptist Church and T.E.L. Sunday school class. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and entertaining.

Survivors include a son, Herman L. Moss of Owensboro; a daughter, Lula Mae Fort of Owensboro; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pauline Faith of Owensboro and Helen Lee Ward of Beech Grove; and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2002 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Reverend Michael Rust. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2002 and after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
