Alma Lee Riggs

Alma Lee Riggs, 67, of Pleasant Ridge, died Saturday, August 27, 2005 at her home. Born in Pleasant Ridge on September 11, 1937, Ms. Riggs was retired from the Ohio County Schools and was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. She taught for more than 29 years first in Eastern Kentucky and then in Ohio County at Horse Branch, Pleasant Ridge and Wayland Alexander Elementary Schools. She was very active in her church serving as Sunday School teacher and Bible School Teacher for many years. Ms. Riggs was preceded in death by her parents Ernest Lee and Lillie Smith Riggs.

She is survived by several cousins.

Funeral services are 11:30 A.M. Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M. on Tuesday, August 30, 2005 and after 9 A.M. on Wednesday morning.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
