Alice Monarch Randolph

Alice Monarch Randolph, 85, of 1231 Hill Ave., Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born on January 19, 1924 in Daviess Co. to the late Thomas and Alice Quillen Monarch. She was a homemaker and the heart of the family. She was a charter member of Immaculate Catholic Church where she is a member of the Legion of Mary. She was a past member of the Junior League of Women and the Cotillion Club. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Randolph in 1983, two sisters, Janie O'Malley and Mary Louise Topor, and a brother Gifford Monarch.

Surviving are a daughter, Katherine Davis Mischel and husband Braun of Owensboro, two sons, Gilbert "Randy" Randolph, Jr. of Dallas, TX and Thomas M. Randolph and wife Charmaine of Austin, TX, three grandchildren, John E. W. Davis, Jr. and wife Brandy of Owensboro, Kristy M. Davis of Louisville, and Gilbert Madison Davis Mischel of Owensboro, three great grandchildren, John Elliott Walker Davis III, Lillian Rose Davis, and Katherine Paige Marie Davis, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 27, at the Immaculate Catholic Church with burial following in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made to the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows/Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, Charitable Gifts Dept., 9480 N. DeMazenod Dr., Belleville, IL 62223-1160 or to the National Shrine of St. Jude Claretian Missionaries, 205 W. Monroe St., Chicago, IL 60606.`
