Alice Ann Emerson Estes

Mrs. Alice Ann Emerson Estes, age 62, of Marietta, Georgia, died Monday, April 23, 2007. Alice retired as the director of the Smyrna Playskool after thirty years. She was a member of Lifes Hope Baptist Church.

Those preceding her in death include her parents, Clifford and Eva Robertson Emerson and her infant daughter, Kelly Ann Estes.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Don Estes, her daughters and son-in-law, Doni and Steve Scott of Powder Springs, Georgia, and Dani Estes of Marietta, Georgia, her grandchildren, Mikaela and Samantha Scott, her sister, Verna Lovan and her husband, Jim, of Bowling Green, her brothers, David and his wife Mary Ruth, Charles and his wife Jody and Alan and his wife Joy Beth, all of Owensboro, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 30, 2007 at Christ Chapel in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
