Alfred Martin Long

Al Long, 71, of Owensboro, gave up his old body to free his young soul, on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Owensboro Center. He had a wonderful sense of humor even until the end. He loved to play softball, karaoke, listen to country music, watch Westerns, especially John Wayne. He is now with his parents, Fred Martin and Mary Ellen Cummings Long and a son, Dennis who Dad is undoubtedly in a jam session with .

Al is survived by his children, Greg and wife Jan, Tracy, and Schell and husband Wayne. Also surviving are his sisters, Ella Mae, Sparky, and Hazel, a brother, Fred, and eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Services will be private. Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory are in charge of arrangements.

Al doesn't want us to grieve, he wants us to celebrate his life through his memories. He has left us physically, but remains alive in our hearts. 'REST IN PEACE DADDY, WE LOVE YOU'
