Alfred E. Galloway, 82, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011 at his home. Born November 21, 1928, he was the son of the late Robert B. and Susan Fulkerson Galloway; was retired from General Electric and was a lifetime farmer; and was a member of Immaculate Catholic Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Kaylee Howard; brothers, R.B. Galloway, J.D. Galloway, Elmo Galloway, Joe Galloway, and Eugene Galloway; and sisters, Augusta Baker, Mary Bell, and Georgia Kyle.

Surviving is his wife of 55 years, Genevieve Rumage Galloway; children, Constance Dant Bickwermert (Bobby) , Jacqueline White Aud (James), Gerald Galloway, Deborah Istre, Bruce Galloway (Cynthia) and Elaine Howard Dillon (Dwight); grandchildren, Jeremy, Sean, Seth and Valerie Dant, Eric and Nicole White, Emilee and Brandon Istre, Zachary, Joshua and Bethany Galloway, Nathaniel, Rebecca, and Sarah Howard, and Jonathan, Jacob, and Adrianna Dillon; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Clarence Galloway of Largo, FL and Raymond Galloway (Joann) of Owensboro; a sister-in-law, Margie Galloway of San Antonio, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.

Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Immaculate Catholic Church with Father Tony Jones officiating followed by entombment in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Tuesday and after 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where prayers will be said at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St Vincent DePaul (Immaculate) or to Hospice of Western Kentucky.
