Albertina "Tina" Elizabeth Ofer Visconti, 98, of Owensboro passed away Friday, Dec. 18, 2015 while in the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Tina was born Aug. 12, 1917, in Mariah Hill, Indiana, the daughter of George Ofer and Regina Colligon Ofer. Tina married Fred Francis Visconti in 1938 and he preceded her in death in 1977. Mrs. Visconti was a member of the Blessed Mother Catholic Church since 1956 where worked in the school cafeteria for ten years. Mrs. Visconti also served at Nationwide Food Service, General Electric, and the Owensboro Museum of Fine Art. Tina was a very loving mother and grandmother who always managed to put her family first and also enjoyed playing Bunco, Euchre, and Bingo. Mrs. Visconti also loved the outdoors and working in her flower gardens. Tina was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, Fred Jr., born in 1944; five brothers; one sister; and one nephew.
Survivors include daughter, Maxine Quinn of Owensboro; grandsons, Michael Quinn of St. Louis, Missouri, Ron Quinn of Huntington Beach, California, and Jason Quinn and his wife Beth of Louisville; great-grandchildren, Ashley Quinn of Huntington Beach, California, and Katie Quinn and Jacob Quinn, both of Louisville; sister, Connie Ewell of Alabama, and six caring nieces and one nephew.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday, December 22 at the Blessed Mother Catholic Church in Owensboro with the Rev. Josh McCarthy officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery.
