Alberta S. Kirtley

Alberta "Bert" S. Kirtley, age 83, of Owensboro passed away on Monday, June 17, 2013 at Hillcrest Healthcare Center. She was born on January 12, 1930 in Ohio County to the late Autmer and Mabel Neal.

She also is preceded in death by her late ex-husband, W.C. Kirtley; her brother and sister, Ardell and Joyce Neal.

Alberta worked as a pharmaceutical assistant for Harold's Drugs and then at Weirs Drugstore, retiring at age 75. She was a member of Third Baptist Church for several years.

Surviving are her two sons; Roger D. and Gary C. Kirtley, both of Owensboro; two grandsons, Adam C. and Lucas D. Kirtley; one granddaughter, Corey L. Kirtley and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10AM Thursday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Dr. James K. Byrd. Entombment will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum "Christ Chapel". Visitation will be held from 5 until 8PM Wednesday and after 9AM Thursday at the funeral home.
