Albert J. Werne

Albert J. Werne, 84, of Utica, died Sunday, July 4, 2010, at the Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born August 22, 1925 to the late Chris and Frances Kauffeld Werne in Daviess County. He was an Army Veteran of WW II, a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, and enjoyed hunting.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Miller.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Blanche Werne; two nieces, Martha Webb of Bowling Green, and Donna Cox of Livermore, a nephew, Stiles Miller, Jr. of Owensboro.

Services will be 9:00 AM Tuesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at the church, with prayers at 7:00 PM. Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church Bldg.
