Mr. Albert Joseph Tatu, 67, of 2435 State Road 1207, Utica, died Saturday, April 19, 2003, at his home. He was a native of Buffalo, NY, born to Albert and Violet Godfrey Tatu on March 3, 1936. He was a General Contractor working in construction. He was a member of St. Anthonys Catholic Church, AM-Vets, Eagles, BPOE, Moose, VFW, Associate member of FOP, member of Bricklayers & Plasters Union, Concrete Mason & Operating Engineers. He enjoyed flying and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Margaret Ann Vance Tatu; one son, Albert Joseph Tatu, III, of Irvine, CA; two daughters, Tina Tatu, of Buffalo, NY and Laurie Saldi, of Tonawanda, NY; two grandsons; one great-grandson; five step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Gary Tatu, of Buffalo, NY; two sisters, Barbara Iuvons of Saefty Harbor, FL and Sandra McCormick of Port Charlotte, FL; one step-brother, Connie Fischer of Valrico, FL; step-mother, Hilda Tatu of Valrico, FL; four step-sons, Ralph Vance of Shelbyville, KY, Jeff Love and Greg Love both of Owensboro, and Gary W. Love of Orlando, FL.
Funeral services will be 6:00 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2003 at Glenn Funeral Home. His family will receive friends from 3:00 till 6:00 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Buffalo, NY.
