Albert Thomas Blincoe

Albert Thomas Blincoe passed away peacefully Monday, September 03, 2012, at his home. Albert was the son of Guy Thomas Blincoe and Grace Martine Spratt Blincoe. He was the eldest child in his family and was preceded in death by his parents and 3 siblings, William Blincoe, Joseph Blincoe, and Martha Ann Merritt. Also preceding him was his precious wife, Thelma Irene Blincoe in 2006. He missed her every day since she went to be with her Savior.
Albert leaves behind 3 children, Beverly (Matt) Ashauer of KS, Tom (Pam) Blincoe of NC, and Sharon Tanner of Owensboro. Sharon was his Caregiver for the last ten years of his life.
Also surviving their brother are his two sisters, Mary Grace (Carlos) Graham and Theresa (Glenn) DeWeese, both of Indiana.
In addition, Albert leaves behind 6 grandchildren: Jeremy (Lynn) Newcom USN, Jennifer Miller, Casey (Milton) Cardona, Valery (Travis) Hagan, Robyn Ashauer, Cheryl Blincoe and and five greatgrandchildren: James Miller, Anita Miller, Lucas Cardona, Marcos Cardona, and Genesis Cardona.
He also has many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and close friends who will be left to grieve his passing.
Albert's passion was to work until the job was complete and perfect. He retired from K-Mart after many years as a valued employee. His hobbies were taking care of his lawn and going to estate and garage sales. In later years he became a devoted UK basketball fan and a lover of the many dogs that passed through the door. Albert was a man of his word and never hesitated to help out those in need. His love for his wife and entire family was a special gift

Services will be 12 Noon Friday, September 7, in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Owensboro
Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday and after 10:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.
