Albert William Barber

Albert William "Al" Barber, Jr., 75, of Owensboro and Jensen Beach, FL, died Saturday, July 30, 2016 in the care of Hospice of Western, Kentucky. He was born in Philadelphia, the son of Albert William Barber, Sr. and Ethel Smith Barber. Mr. Barber graduated from Transylvania University in 1963 and the University Kentucky School of Law in 1966. He moved to Owensboro to join the Wilson and Wilson law firm. He established his solo practice in 1970 and retired in 2007. He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his son, Albert William "Bill" Barber, III of Owensboro; his granddaughter Natalie Barber of Owensboro,; his mother Ethel Christena Barber, his sister Christena Barber Walters, his nieces Tara Christena Bolton and Tamara Loren Dickson, his great niece Christena Reese Bolton, and his great nephew Nolan Hunt Dickson, all of Tennessee; and the mother of his son and grandmother of his granddaughter, Teena Thompson Barber of Owensboro.
At Al's request, a memorial service will be private.
