Alan Wayne Vetter

Alan Wayne Vetter, 62, of Owensboro entered into his eternal reward and met his Lord Jesus on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at his home. God's faithful servant, he was born August 24, 1947 in Owensboro the son of Luke and Maggie Johnson Vetter; was a member of Good Shepherd Church; and was employed by Kentucky Wesleyan University. He was a member of the President's Council of the Good News Jail and Prison Ministry, the Good Shepherd Church Prayer Ministry, the Honored Bound Men's Ministry, the Bold Knight/Military Ministry. Mr. Vetter was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Teddy Vetter.

Surviving is his wife Margie Gail Bowen Vetter; his in-laws, Bobby and Gail Reed of Owensboro; sister-in-law, Barbara Ann and Penny J. Bowen of Owensboro; a niece, Dr. Stephanie (Ron) Powers of Owensboro; and nephews, Mark Aaron Evans, Andrew Clark Evans, and Jason Kendall Bowen; and great-nieces, Abbie Jo Evans and Anna Sophia Powers.

Services are 12 noon Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Good Shepherd Church with Pastor John Morse officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. till service time at the church. Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory is handling arrangements.
