Agnes Marie Thomas, 67, of 1613 East 21st Street, Owensboro, died Thursday, June 17, 2004 at her home. Agnes was born in Owensboro, September 12, 1936 to the late Simon and Lucy (Wink) Schell. She was a homemaker, who loved to be with her children, grandchildren and friends. She was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church, and enjoyed attending Golden Romans Senior Citizens Club at St. Martin Catholic Church.
Agnes is survived by her husband of 45 years, William Billy Thomas, four children and spouses, Jeanette Estes and husband Barry, Mike Thomas and wife Karen, Dan Thomas and wife wife Sandra, and Martha Gillim and husband Steve, all of Owensboro, and grandchildren, Courtney and Brittany Estes, Cody and Brody Thomas, Aaron and Rachel Thomas, Emily, Jacob and Justin Gillim, her sisters, Mildred Phillips of Flaherty, KY, and brothers Herman Joe Schell of Hanson, KY, Robert Leo Schell, James Jim Schell, Eugene Gene Schell, all of Owensboro, and several nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 19, 2004 at Blessed Mother Catholic Church. Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. and after 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery in Browns Valley.
