Ada Myrl Greer Thorpe

Ada Myrl Greer Thorpe, 66, of Owensboro died Sunday, June 15, 2003 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Daviess County native was a homemaker, worked as a home health aide, and was a member of the Masonville United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Thorpe in 1988, a brother, Arnold Coleman Greer and a sister, Edwina Jackson.

Survivors include two sons, Thomas Jeffrey Thorpe and John Wesley Thorpe both of Owensboro; three daughters, Sharon M. Texas of Owensboro and Jacqueline Mitchell and Rebecca J. Thorpe both of Utica; six grandchildren, Danny Ray Benningfield and Rachel Tanner of Owensboro, Nathan Tanner and Jessica Thorpe of Utica, Wesley Casey of Hartford and Sean Jones of Utica; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ace Lehoyt Greer and Coleman Earl Buzz Greer of Whitesville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:30 A.M. Wednesday, June 18, 2003 at the Glenn Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4-8 P.M. on Tuesday and after 9 A.M. on Wednesday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the ST. Judes Childrens Hospital.
