Abel Jacob McCrady, infant son of Ariel Raven and Brad McCrady, was born and passed away on July 1, 2013 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
Also surviving are his grandparents, Debbie and Fred McCrady of Philpot, Melissa Case of Louisville, and Paul and Dixie Stratton of Hartford, and his paternal great grandmother, Emma Blincoe of Owensboro.
Abel brought us joy and was loved from the beginning when we found out you were on the way. Yet we are sad because you could not stay with us. Our love for you grew each day even though we had never seen your face and what a precious face it was. How excited we were at the reveal party and when we felt your first kick. We know we will never get to see you take your first steps, hear your voice, see you run and play, hear your laugh, score the winning run, or make a touchdown. Abel will not have to suffer the troubles and strife of this life. God knew you in the womb and saw your suffering. God saw fit to call you home. You were perfect, never knowing sin, a little angel in the arch of safety. God needed a little angel named Abel around the throne. I would ask one favor if it be God's will, when God calls me home and the death angel appears, send the Angel named Abel to carry my spirit home. Job Chapter 14, verse 1; "Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble". Job Chapter 1, verse 21; "And Job said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord taketh away; blessed be the name of the Lord". Revelation Chapter 21, verse 4; "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away".
Services were held Thursday, July 4, at First United Baptist Church in Owensboro. Burial is in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory were in charge of arrangements.
