A. Jeanette Schartung

Jeanette Logsdon Schartung, 54, of Owensboro, died Monday, November 22 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born July 28, 1950 in Daviess County, she was actively involved with her church, Precious Blood Catholic Church where was a Eucharist minister and lector and member of Koinonia. She was the former owner of Jeanettes Tanning and Toning, and was a surgical tech. She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed bingo, church, helping others, and most of allcaring for her grandchildren. She was an amazing woman who will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jackie Schartung on June 21, 1996 and her mother, Betty Logsdon on December 21, 2003.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, John A. Schartung, Jr.; two daughters, Jennifer Gibbs and Jessie Schartung of Owensboro; three sons, John Schartung, III, Jason Schartung, and Jeff Schartung all of Owensboro; eight grandchildren, Morgan and Jared Gibbs, Caley, Jordan, and Alyssa Schartung, and Nickolas, Javonte, and Paris Schartung all of Owensboro; her father, Martin Logsdon of Owensboro; three sisters, Martha Wilson of Owensboro, Barbara Caton and Becky Puffenbarger both of VA; six brothers, Norman Logsdon, Larry Logsdon, Tony Logsdon, Marty Logsdon, and David Logsdon all of Owensboro, and Darrell Logsdon of Bowling Green; and several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and friends.

Funeral services are 11 A.M. Saturday, November 27, 2004 at St. Martin Catholic Church with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 P.M. Friday, November 26, 2004 and after 8:30 A.M. on Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be 7 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
