A. Marvin "Sonny" Saalwaechter

A. Marvin "Sonny" Saalwaechter, 75, of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Owensboro Center. He was born April 18, 1942 in Guthrie, KY to the late Harry and Dora Lee Saalwaechter. Sonny was retired from Peters Construction Co. after 32 years of service and a member of Stanley Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking and his 1964 Ford Galaxy Convertible that he had for many years. Sonny was always very close to all his co-workers at Peters Construction. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Perry Saalwaechter and a step granddaughter, Misty Dawn English in 2010.

Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Sybal Saalwaechter, four stepsons, Harold Daniel English, Michael Dale English, and Richard Lee English, all of Owensboro, and Terry Wayne English of Eddyville, a stepdaughter, Diana Lynn Roberts of Utica, 13 stepgrandchildren, 22 step great grandchildren, one step great great grandchild, two brothers, Joe Lynn (Alesha) Saalwaechter and Dale Saalwaechter, all of Owensboro, and two sisters, Sue (Ray) Harney of Stanley and Jennie Kay Saalwaechter of Owensboro.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 29 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Windy Hollow. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Friday and after 8:30 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
